6 Must See Travel Destinations in Canada

Happy Birthday Canada!

In honor of Canada day, I thought I'd share with you some of the places that make it a must see country.

So here it goes, in no particular order:

Prince Edward Island: I haven't had the pleasure of visiting myself, but it's definitely on my "to do" list.  Beautiful ocean views and amazing seafood awaits.

Vancouver City: Another travel destination in Canada that's on my wish list.  The ocean, the mountains, what's not to love?

Montreal City: Old Montreal is such a beautiful place, with quaint shops, historical buildings and horse drawn carriage rides along the cobble stone path.  If you come, be sure to visit the Biodome, where all climats are recreated.  Walking through the tropical forest with monkeys swinging and parrots flying is an experience one doesn't forget, and the Botanical Gardens straight across from there is definitely worth the trip.  In the same area is the Insectarium, if you like bugs.

Toronto City: Another exciting city in Canada.  Be sure to visit the CN Tower, but watch out for the elevator, the pressure of rising so high so fast made my knees give out and I fell to the ground!

Gatineau Park:  Take a bike ride along the road or visit any one of the several lookouts along the way to the top.  Closed to vehicles in the winter time, it's an ideal place for cross-country skiing.  Be sure to visit Ottawa while you're here, the parliament buildings, the By Market, the Rideau Canal (Skate on the longest skating rink in Canada in the winter time), not to mention amazing restaurants and beautiful museums!

Quebec City: I've only been there a handful of times, but it is an amazing place.  Old Quebec is stunningly beautiful with it's storybook historic buildings and view of the St-Laurence River, with Sail boats everywhere. Be sure to visit Montmorency Falls while you're there, the view is spectacular.  Hope you're not affraid of heights, because there is a suspended bridge to walk over the falls.

So there you have it.  Must-see destination in Canada.  As you can see, our country is as beautiful as it is big, and it has something different to offer in every season.  This is the best country in the world to live in, and I'm proud to be a Canadian.

Happy Canada Day!
