Happy Vs Angry - An illustrated short story by Felicia Stevenson

This is me when I'm Happy

This is me when I'm Angry

These are things that make me happy:

  • Rainbows, lollipops and Unicorns  (um, wait a second: that's not me, that's Kelly from Real Housewives of New York!
  • Fireworks - in the sky or the bedroom ;)
  • My kids smiles
  • Sunny days by the pool
  • An afternoon nap
  • Sleeping in
  • My Family and REAL friends
  • People who appreciate me for all I am instead of what they think I should be
  • Seeing my page visit and followers numbers grow!!! ;)

These are things that make me Angry:

"I think I might eat a small child for dinner argh argh argh"

  • Liars
  • Predators
  • Fair weather friends (you know, people who only like you when you're doing something for them, and toss you aside whenever their done using you)
  • My kids smiles when they're laughing and I'm steaming!  (Makes me want to find new and creative ways to wipe that smile off their little faces... LOL)
  • Dealing with Bell - especially Emily - or any other automated answering service
  • Idiots that cut you off when you're driving, then give you S*** for honking at them (those people should be shot)
  • Bad customer service (which is everywhere!!!!)
  • People who judge what they don't understand
  • Most of all, I hate stupidity, because you just can't fix dumb!

Since we're on the subject of stupidity, here's a short list of some of the dumbest things I've ever heard  (these are just a few that come to mind, there are many, many, many more, it's very sad)
  1. "It's hard to be sympathetic to you as all of your Facebook posts have been positive" (because everyone should broadcast all of their problems on Facebook right?)
  2. "Does one half plus one half equal one or two?"  (This was from a grown woman!)
  3. From the tech at Videotron "Certain channels on your PVR are not working because it is not correctly connected to the television"
  4. "Will the CD flip over on it's own?"  from an old boyfriend.  I know.  Please just don't ask.  LOL
  5. "How do I know when the gas tank will be full?"  Same boyfriend.  I know, I know!  I'm not with him anymore am I?!  A university education sure doesn't guarantee any common sense, lemme tell ya!
BUT!
When I start to feel like this:
"I think I might start breathing fire soon... argh argh argh!"

I try to remember that in dealing with other people, it helps to remember the three C's:

You didn't Cause it;
You can't Control it;
and
You can't Cure it!

And then I think to myself:

"Hey- it could me much worse - you could be one of them!"

And I start to I feel like this again.
